Raindrop Technique
Raindrop Technique was developed by Dr. Gary Young along with a Lakota medicine man in the 1970's. It is a gentle, non-invasive technique which uses therapeutic grade essential oils along the spine to correct spinal defects and provide powerful emotional balancing, physical detoxification and immune system support. It incorporates massage, a type of reflexology called "Vita Flex" and essential oils to realign the body structurally and electrically.
Raindrop has healed many cases of scoliosis and prevented back surgery for thousands of people. It is based on the theory that misalignments along the spine are caused by bacteria and viruses that live along the spine in a dormant state. The inflammation caused by the pathogens then causes the muscles to swell, pulling them away from the spine and causing spinal curvature.
Raindrop Technique uses a series of highly anti-microbial oils to fight inflammation and kill the pathogens causing it. The main oils used are: thyme, oregano, birch, cypress, peppermint, basil and marjoram. The oils are applied like raindrops about 6 inches above the spine, and massaged along the vertebrae. Then the client is covered with a warm towel to enhance penetration of the oils and relaxation. The session lasts about an hour, but the oils continue to have therapeutic effects for many days afterward.
