RAINBOW HEALING ARTS
PARTY A SUCCESS! |
| Mahalo to the fifty of you who made it to our grand celebration of the opening of Rainbow Healing Arts! It was very moving to hear about all the fabulous work you are doing out there in the community, some as business owners, some as regular old employees.
We are enjoying working on our friends who won the bodywork sessions. The winners are: Carol Arnold, Massage; Gloria Moore, Reiki; Sarah Hodell, Craniosacral Therapy; Sarah Keahi, Lomi-Lomi by L.M.T. Sandy Trimble; and Ellen Raney, who won the grand prize of a two-on-one Heaven and Earth session.
Thanks to: The Food Company for the onolicious dishes; Janet Swift for getting us the huge tent (and helping us put it up!); Irene Mazurok for welcoming our guests for us; Wendy Perry for the use of her table; and David & Yara Rose and Carol Kleppin for bringing all of those chairs! Thanks also to Nettie Vierra for her touching account of how Reiki helped her dog Webster to heal from a serious illness.
Thanks too to those of you who were not able to make it, but sent us your thoughts and prayers anyway. We could never have taken the leap of faith to begin Rainbow Healing Arts without the support of our wonderful friends and community. Thank You So Much.
-Liza and Kathy

| WHAT IS REIKI? |
| Reiki means universal life force energy- the power of the universe that flows through every living thing. The purpose of Reiki is to activate and accelerate the flow of this energy. The benefits of the increased energy flow are numerous: pain relief, stress release, increased joy and creativity, healing of both acute and chronic conditions as well as an increased ability to fulfill ones potential in life.
The First Degree Reiki Class covers the benefits and uses of Reiki, the history and origin of Reiki as well as instruction for using Reiki for oneself and others. The class is highly experiential and includes four individual energy attunements.
Upon completion of the course, the student receives certification as a Reiki Practitioner. Tuition for the course is $150. Once you have completed the First Degree course, you will be able to use the Reiki energy for yourself and others for the rest of your life!

| CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY |
| Craniosacral Therapy was developed by Dr. John Upledger, drawing from the experience of several generations of osteopaths. The osteopaths had found that contrary to prevailing belief, the bones of the skull are not fused, but move. Assisting in surgery with an associate, Dr. Upledger discovered the famous craniosacral rhythm- the rhythm created by the creation and reabsorption of the cerebrospinal fluid. Upledger then developed modern Craniosacral Therapy, a method of subtly manipulating the connective tissue which lines the skull and spine to effect changes in the entire neuro-muscular system of the body.
Although the science of Craniosacral Therapy is complex, the experience of clients is very pleasant and relaxing, because the amount of pressure exerted is only 5 grams, or the weight of a nickel. Most of our clients sleep or relax deeply during sessions, and have little or no idea what took place! Craniosacral Therapy is indicated for a wide variety of physical ailments, including TMJ, neck, shoulder and back pain, headaches and even dysfunctions of internal organs (stomach, lungs etc.). CST is also effective for many emotional conditions including depression.
Liza and Kathy enjoy using Craniosacral Therapy, and look forward to working on many of you! For more information about Craniosacral Therapy, go to www.upledger.com. |
