Four Consecutive Reiki Treatments
|
Part of the form of the Usui System of Reiki is the form of treatment. The recommendation to treat any condition is to begin by receiving four Reiki sessions on consecutive days. After that, if one wishes to continue, the treatments can be once a week.
My experience has been that people can undergo important and lasting changes during the four day series that are not possible during a single session or a series of weekly sessions. I encourage those of you who wish to try Reiki to make this commitment to your own health and see what happens

The Right Reiki?
|
|
In my own path with Reiki I have become intimate with several different lineages and styles of practice. The Reiki I first learned was very intuitive, and almost devoid of form. It served me perfectly at that time. Then, as I developed my own daily practice with Reiki, and became a new master, a certain ritual developed which served me well up until maybe a year and a half ago.
Since then I have found my practice moving increasingly toward the Usui System of Natural Healing, as it was passed down from Mrs. Takata from Japan. This System of Reiki is very simple, and has a definite form which anyone can use. In my experience, the closer I get to practicing that original, simple form of practice, the deeper my practice becomes. My classes get shorter, my explanations briefer, and my students have a deeper sense of the sacredness of what they have been given.
Does this mean that I have found "the right Reiki"? To me, this notion is absurd, sort of like saying "My version of XYZ religion or spiritual practice is much more powerful than your version". What matters is the quality of your practice, and the right match between you and the form that fits you best. If you are interested in learning Reiki, I encourage you to seek out several masters, and discern for yourself what path is best for you. If, like me, you feel a pull toward the Usui System of Reiki, I invite you to share your path with me, regardless of your former training.
Let us heal our Reiki community by giving up the need to compare practices, and instead honor the sacredness, beauty and power of Reiki in all its dimensions.
